Caoimhe Flanagan - Junior Lawyer
I am a Junior Lawyer in the corporate team and I joined Baker McKenzie in January 2023 upon qualification with a local firm. I graduated from law at Queen's University, Belfast in 2017 and with an LL.M from Queen's in 2018. After university I worked at a Belfast based immigration firm, before commencing my training contract in 2020. Since joining the corporate team I have been involved in a variety of matters and have had the opportunity to work on projects alongside experienced lawyers both in Belfast and in wider offices. As a junior member of the team I enjoy the variety of my role and appreciate the opportunity to work with and learn from more senior colleagues.
Outside of my core role I am an active member of the Gender Committee and this has been an excellent way to build relationships outside of the team, while promoting gender awareness through our hosted events. I have been warmly welcomed into the team and the support that I have received at the outset of my professional career has been invaluable.
