Kevin Hagan - Lawyer
I graduated from law at Queen's University Belfast in 2013 and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. I joined the Firm in 2017 as a Junior Lawyer in the corporate team before being promoted to Lawyer in 2021.
I have experience in a wide range of multi-jurisdictional corporate matters including M&A, private equity, corporate reorganisations, and corporate governance. I have also assisted on large-scale banking, finance, and capital markets projects.
I particularly enjoy the international aspect of my role. During my time at the Firm, I have mainly worked on matters alongside partners and associates in our London, New York, and San Francisco offices. However, given the cross-border nature of the matters that I am involved in, I have daily correspondence with lawyers from Baker McKenzie offices all over the globe, who are among the best in their respective fields.
Throughout my time at the Firm, I have taken an active role in various Sports & Social Groups. As a keen member of our Football Club, I play in our weekly 5-a-sides, and always look forward to the entertaining write-ups of the games in the Belfast office's Weekly Update. We also compete in local business tournaments and the Fluency Cup, an annual tournament in which Baker McKenzie offices from all over the world participate. The 2023 Fluency Cup is set to take place in Majorca, with Belfast, Brussels, Milan, and Warsaw being host cities in previous years. This is the highlight of the Firm's sporting calendar and a great opportunity to meet and reconnect with colleagues from around the world.
